Back to work and thanks to donors

After having H1N1 from Monday to Thursday last week and then that
morphing into pneumonia and is still with me as I post this, I am finally back to
work. I spent all day yesterday playing catchup and still have a whole
lot more to do.

On another note I wanted to publicly thank Mary and George who
responded to my Craigslist and Freecycle add for Classical vinyl
donations. All the records are in excellent condition and Maddie,
Mommy, and I will enjoy them for years to come. George, thanks for
delivering them to my door that was extremely nice and neighborly.

George also included some 78's which for which I thought I could play at
78 RPM, but alas I can't. But never fear as I have figured out a hack
for them. Audacity has a 78 converter mode. You rip the record in at 33
1/3 RPM and then convert it to 78 in audacity. I have not tried this
method yet but it sounds interesting and I'm looking forward to giving
it a try.
