Goodby Buster.

About six months after Theresa and I got married we went to the AA County Dog Pound to rescue a dog. We didn't see a dog there that really jumped out at us. There was a cute set of dogs that were brother and sister that we liked. I remember the information desk had a half dozen people standing at it when we came out from that back and we had to wait to ask about the two dogs.

In walks this lady with this six month old golden lab retriever. She sat down next to us and the friendly little lab came right over to Theresa. Theresa remarked how cute he was and asked the lady if he was here for shots or something. The lady said no, that she was dropping him off for adoption. He belonged to her daughter who was going through a divorce. The Judge ordered that the dog go to the pound. Theresa and I looked at each other and said "We'll take him" and the rest is history.

On May 5th at 3:35 PM we put Buster to sleep. I have to say that that was the single hardest decision that I have ever had to make. Over the past two years his health was declining. This past Saturday he began to urinate blood and had stopped eating. We knew it was time.

I'll always remember the many walks and fishing trips that we had together. He was truly a wonderful, pleasant, dog.
